BEGINNING BRAZILIAN PORTUGUESE includes two CD-ROMs with 20 lessons covering the equivalent to two semesters of Portuguese Language instruction at American Universities. The course can be used in Critical Languages Programs, in University Blended courses, in Online Face-to-Face courses and as a Self-Instructional tool.
Each lesson offers digitized VIDEOS and a main TEXT with AUDIO, and FOOTNOTES on Portuguese grammar, linguistic functions, and Brazilian culture.
Each lesson includes graphics and a variety of exercises: multiple-choice, vocabulary, fill-in-the-blanks, audio flashcards, dictation, and pronunciation, which are corrected and graded by the computer.
The complete program has over 9000 individual audio recordings of words and sentences spoken by Brazilians, and their English translations, spoken by Americans.
BEGINNING BRAZILIAN PORTUGUESE is published by the University of Arizona as part of the Critical Languages Series (CLS).
Explore the BBP course features and watch tutorials on how to use the lessons and the exercises (NOTE: the video examples use the Kazakh language course but the videos apply to all courses of the CLP, including Brazilian Portuguese).
